UPDATE November 27, 2023
My original review below was posted in August of this year. It has still not been resolved. They give a new excuse for the delays each time that I call them or email. I do not understand how this company is still doing business.
I was hesitant to mail such an expensive piece of jewelry but Worthy assured me that it was safe and that my ring would be insured through Lloyds of London for up to 55,000. Worthy emailed a FedEx mailing label, I packed the ring in a box, affixed the mailing label, and FedEx picked it up. I emailed a photo of the ring, and an appraisal which was previously done for insurance purposes, to Worthy. They explained that when they place my ring in auction, and have a potential buyer, they will contact me and advise me of the amount that was offered for my ring in the auction. If I am not happy with the amount offered, they will send my ring back to me. Sounds fair enough.
I received an email from Worthy a couple of weeks later stating that the box arrived empty with no jewelry inside. The email further stated, "I know these words may come as a shock to you, but rest assured, this isn't the first time this has happened". WHAT???? Are they kidding me??? They went on to say that they had initiated a formal investigation with FedEx. They did not tell me the outcome of that investigation. They then set up a time for someone to call me to assist me in filing the insurance claim with Lloyds of London. During that conversation, I told the young lady that I would have no problem with them losing my ring as long as I got the appraised value for it. The appraisal was done for insurance purposes. Should my ring have been stolen or lost, that is what I would have received from the insurance company. They (Worthy) have lost my ring. She then stated that they would give me what their representative thought the ring would sell for in auction or what previous, similar rings have sold for. No, that's not acceptable. I'm not interested in wholesale or auction prices. If it had not been lost by them, and the auction did not bring the amount of money that I desired, they would have mailed the ring back. I don't have that option now. The ring is gone. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am now waiting to hear from Worthy as to what has transpired with the insurance claim.
I would NOT send anything to this company.
I submitted photos of 5 items but due to the poor design of their web site and the lack of a "submit" button, I wasn't sure my photos got through. As a result, I made an appointment for a phone consultation and received e-mail confirmation of my request. A short time later I received an e-mail telling me that my item had been approved. Eight minutes later I got another e-mail telling me my item had not been accepted. So which is it, accepted or rejected?! I logged back into what I thought was my account for clarification and when I clicked "my jewelry", there was nothing there. Knowing that I had an upcoming phone conversation, I figured I'd get everything straightened out then. I just received an e-mail telling me that my phone consultation was cancelled by the person I was supposed to speak with and no explanation was provided as to why. Based on the poor design of their web site, the phone appointment cancellation without explanation, and the general lack of thorough communication, I do not recommend doing business with this company.
I suspect this company to be a little shady mailed my jewelry to them, and they refused it before even examining it throughly. I may need to get a good appraisal now to make sure they didn't switch my property. I am very suspicious, and then they claimed to return my item and shipped it to a holding facility 80 miles from my home I highly recommend using a more professional company.
Working with Worthy to sell a diamond ring was great! Our consultant, Christine, was patient, informed, and on the ball when it came to get the maximum prize for my old ring. I would highly recommend Worthy in general and Christine in particular!
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Promoting to hundreds of potential buyers made easy!
I found your service quite easy and professional. I didn't have a purpose for the old ring as it was just sitting in a box. Now someone will have it and enjoy it.
I very much liked how Amy Kaiser kept me up-dated every step of the way so my mind was put at ease. I am so glad I found your service.
Thanks,

Plenty of communication during the phases of sending/receiving my items and during the selling process. Once my items sold, however, all communication from Worthy ceased. They quote a time frame of 3-5 days to receive your payment once the …
As all the other reviews stated. Do NOT waste your time with this company. I had a Stunning diamond wedding ring set. The engagement ring alone was over 15,000. It was appraised at 14,000. Worthy only offered me $1400. They must be stupid. …
Sent detailed pictures of a very original and rare Bulova Accutron. They rejected it because my photos varied from the description? Pathetic. Should have known this was a waste of time. I don’t recommend.
